Watch This Space!

This is just a term that is very recognised by people who surf the Internet, a term that makes us wait in anticipation for the new creation, that new idea that will make us all stare in awe and think to ourselves... ‘What a brilliant idea!’

Google is one of those brilliant boffins who are busy creating one page that represents you, from social media, to articles, mail, everything encompassed under one web page. One could say it’s like owning your own website page, just much more creative, innovative and appeals to any target group who wishes to explore this phenomenon. Google as always been a step ahead when it comes to innovative ideas pertaining to the web, therefore I am eager to engage myself with this new form of social network once it’s released.

Watch this space is also an enticing way in which you are able to draw your target audience, as they will follow – up and make sure they are the first to know what is happening on your site, so that they from that point on, will spread the word to rest of your target audiences. This will then create a ripple effect and when you look again, you follower base has increased from 100 to 1000 followers.

It’s all about using the proper phrases and the right messages to communicate to your audiences, and ‘Watch this space’ are one of those phrases people will keep on using until something new appears.

In essence, you better start watching my blog space soon, as I wish to inspire others through my creative work... what it all entails? Well like the saying goes ... you just have to WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

Until Next Time.. .Have a great Day! :)

Why I have conversations?

Why do people in general have conversations? Firstly I think people have conversations as its part of communication and meeting new people. It’s a form of networking and learning from new peoples experiences every day.

Why do I like making conversations? I believe conversations are a stimulus that is necessary and healthy. I love meeting new and interesting people, because I thrive knowing and learning new things, moreover obtaining new information that would be benefit me and vice versa. I would then receive this information and share it with the rest of my friends so that they too can be inspired.

Sometimes I just feel like helping others out without taking anything from them in return. I love listening to people’s life stories; as everyone is different and unique, hence have different stories to tell.

Without conversations, what would the world be like... silence, isolation and eventually people would commit to suicide for being alone, because as human beings it is our will and nature to converse with each other.

Social media has become home to many people who are introverts and are just seeking to talk to someone or to voice their opinions, and that is a good aspect of social media. The only downfall with social media is that people become entrapped and forget how to have normal face-to-face conversations; therefore its always necessary to maintain healthy relationships and conversations on and off line, hence maintaining a balance.

My big fat BIG dream

Mmmm... I always dreamed of being an entertainer, a dancer, an actress, but mostly just to be creative in many facets of my life. What would my big fat BIG dream be? Well firstly, definitely not to be associated as fat (no offense).

My big dream would be to be a happy person, and inspire people to be happy and successful as well. My success would be to achieve all my goals I set in life, and not just one goal of my life. The dream would comprise of lover, hard work, dedication and having enough to the point where I am able to not worry about money, it should be an asset that will not depreciate or devalue because my businesses will suffice and provide accordingly.

My dream was always to travel, travel and travel some more, and not be tied down to relationships, children until I am ready and able to settle down.

I do not want to give too much away, but what I do know is that God gave me this unique brain whereby I am able to visualise and recreate objects, ideas into something unthinkable. It’s like when you’re out with your friends and you pose a really crazy, out of the world idea, but because they live a conventional structured lifestyle, are unable to associate or bring their minds to just wonder and ponder life as it is, and what the possibilities of a new earth would be like.

In order to be true to myself, happiness should encompass and absorb into my veins, as I feel satisfaction ripple through the fine facial hairs lifting off my face. It‘s a priceless experience that I would want everyone in this world to experience. To be joyful, happy and positive about life, and rather encourage negative souls to let go of their anger and embrace endless love and appreciate and be thankful to being alive.

Have you ever felt inspired so much that you automatically inspire others... lol. You start to attract positive leaders into your life because in your mind and attitude you are determined to achieve bigger goals for yourself.
Big Fat Dream: Happiness, Love, Success, Ambition, Inspire, Creative, Dedication.

Hope I inspired you today!

Until Next time: Chow Bella

Conventional is a good fallback position isn’t it? Wake - Up!

Let’s just think about this statement a bit... Conventional is a good fallback position isn’t it?

I would have to agree and disagree. Yes, I agree in that living a conventional lifestyle means to abide to laws plan and follow certain procedures, abide to structures... a way of living on the safe side of life, no doubt about that, but what one doesn’t ask is why be conventional?

Conventional is a term that strikes me a boring, lame, safe but most importantly uncreative!
In fact, being conventional is merely conforming to socially accepted customs of behaviour or style, especially when it comes to lacking imagination.

This is a word I would not take with me to my grave, or even be associated with. It’s a word that I feel society invented to give people a sense of purpose on earth and not truly discovering who they truly are because... ‘You can just be seen as ordinary, simple and conventional’. It’s safe and no one would ever think lesser of higher of you.

NEWSFLASH! This is the new age and people need to start realising that a new world order is in place that controls our thoughts, views and emotions on a daily basis. By being conventional as a human, gives powerful people more leeway and space to control and govern.

As much as conventional lifestyle is a safe lifestyle, I do not encourage anyone to practice it. Try something new every day and figure out who you are and what purpose you serve. Stop being afraid of the world, you’ll never know unless you take that leap.

I hope I inspired someone today!

You cannot chase two rabbits at the same time

I’m sure we are all familiar with this saying... but what significance does this phrase bring to any individual? Easy, don’t try and accomplish two goals, two objectives, two girlfriends/ boyfriends, two projects at the same time, as it is bound to back fire at you sooner or later.

It is best to fully complete and execute one plan or action at a time. By allowing you to focus on two goals at once, means it would require the exact amount of attention and solving as the next. This is the part where you tend to put all your time and effort in your first project, and neglect the other. When the time finally arrives to executing these plans, or receiving feedback on your achievements, you’ll see that what you thought was possible, turns into a disaster.

It is better to set your mind on one goal at the time, instead of juggling two or more at time.

This is relevant to my surroundings because as a student, you a babbled with at least 5 assignments for the week, some of which have the same due dates. However, at the end of the day it’s all about planning and structure that plays an important factor in your life. By being structured, allows you to plan ahead, hence focus on certain projects on different days. When it is finally time for submissions, you are able to produce the exact same amount of sufficient information to the one project as you did with the other.

What it comes down to is balance, planning and structure that every individual needs in order to succeed in meeting goals and deadlines.

Hope you enjoyed the read.

Until Next time: Chow Bella :)

Nothing is more dangerous than having only one idea...

When it comes to the big life, stepping out of the comfort zone of being a student, it is a scary feeling knowing that you only are allowed to prove yourself once, and that is in some boardroom or office, where you await to be interviewed and judged accordingly as to whether you fit the job criteria.

Therefore, it is always necessary to have a plan be, or more than one pitch you deliver during an interview. The same method applies when actually working in a firm or in an organisation where it is required of you to makes suggestions, and implanted procedures or documents, be it as it may.

By allowing people to observe and insinuate that you’re abilities only stretch as far as one idea is not that forthcoming, hence extremely dangerous.
Same goes for people who are creatively inclined, work at advertising agencies, you constantly devising and creating new messages and campaigns for your clients, and not knowing what you client would like, it’s always better to have three suggestions put forward than just one concept to run with.

In essence, if you do not know what your next step in life is, or know what your next plan of action should or could be, then you can be assured to either stay where you are right now, or never move up in the world or you may even be retrenched... then what do you do?

I do not believe for one second that there are people in this world that only comprise of one idea, one future, and one life. I do believe that we are serve more than one purpose on this earth, which is why life is a journey, because as soon as you think you’ve lived life, that is probably the point and time when your life actually begins, with endless possibilities.

I hope I inspired someone today.

Draconian Censorship in SA... will history repeat itself?

During the times of the Apartheid, draconian censorship was being practised. A draconian legislation was passed on to people who were opposed by the apartheid. They enforced not only control on people who refused to abide to the laws put forth by the Apartheid Regime, but specifically put leashes on the Media.

In 1994 this all changes as South Africa became a democratic country and draconian legislation was lifted and abolished. The new rise of ANC brought huge change by accepting everyone as equal human individuals, no matter the race, hence a democratic regime. Considering the big adaptation from a white’s only command, to an all equal society was and still is taking shape on a slow scale. However if you take a closer look at equation from an outside perspective, the ball has been swapped around in that predominantly black folks benefit the most from the economy and the ‘coloured’ people continue to struggle and not be uplifted.

In 2010, the ANC proposed a draconian censorship to journalist though passing a new campaign called the Media Appeals Tribunal. The ANC have decided to place some sort of censorship on the media in order to protect government and what the media write or further exploit and this is to the disadvantage for government. According to Professor Pieter J. Fourie of UNISA, he stated that the way the ANC is treating the Media and how the media was dealt with during the Apartheid are very similar, hence Draconian Censorship.

Should the Media Appeals Tribunal followed by all the bills laid down be approved, the media would then be restricted and not allowed the freedom of speech to express true and vital information that citizens of this country ought to know about. These bills and Tribunal would then undermine and act contradictory in a democratic system which we supposedly practice in South Africa.

Meanwhile government is doing everything in its power to protect their image by trying to implement laws and campaigns that are of an unfair and discriminative nature.

Is history repeating itself? In my opinion, I feel that Apartheid is still being retrenched under democratic command and title, all they did was exchange the race that governed, adjust and implement procedures and laws that are to their advantage. One can only hope that this debacle is resolved in time, or else the media can forgot about ever communicating accurately, moreover truthfully to the citizens ever again!

Hope my talk was informative.

Have you figured out the second head fake?

Many sports played in and around the world use the terminology ‘second head fake’. To my knowledge and understanding, it is a stunt that is performed when you try and blind side your opponent or defender, thinking you are playing to your left, but instead to play to the right, meaning you second head faked your opponent.

The same applies to work and life. Some people in life go through the motions, from getting proper schooling and education, to getting a job and moving your way up the ladder slowly but surely until you reach the top. Then there are the people who second head fake others by finding a quicker and simpler way of making it to the top; some are truthful and some a sly.

The truthful ones are simply people who have that nick, passion and are go getter's, grabs any and every opportunity that is set before them. Then you get the sly knickers who go the darker route of making money, but you do never hear from them, but when they eventually decide to appear, they come out is dashing and smashing cars, live on massive estates that are cornered off with cameras, electric fencing and security guards. These people are able to second head fake the next individual, blind side government, the police and everything that is blinded with the law; until they get caught out.

One could also define second head fake as people who are just being two-faced! They say the one, but to the complete opposite.

In conclusion, one should always be aware that people in the world aren’t always who you think they are, therefore you should always have a clear mind before you put your trust in someone... they might just turn out not to be who you thought they are.
I hope you enjoyed my read!

Side - Tracked!

I’ve discovered that in my year of study (currently), that in my first semester I was fully and utterly dedicated and motivated to be as productive in work and able to focus. One could say I had a bigger vision and was more goal oriented.

Then the 2010 Soccer World Cup came around and totally consumed me for one month of AYOBANESS!

Second semester came around, and suddenly I feel that I’ve become lazy and side- tracked from my studies completely. My prime goal is to finish off my studies, yet I find it somewhat extremely hard to keep focus this term. I don’t know why but whenever I have to do work or decided to do work, an errand or another venture would pop up and I’ll be out and about.

I’ve also noticed that such occurrences take place especially after a long holidays or holidays in general. It’s like my brain goes holiday and I have this constant need to do something, something other than my school work. It also made me realize that the passion in my work deteriorated for some apparent reason… Poing... light bulb of realization I guess!

There are other underlying factors such as being somewhat de-motivated in my course after discovering that all my lecturers do not follow through as expected and this is an extreme disappointment, hence you do not feel the need to really do your best, but to perform at your average.

On the flipside, I’ve also discovered all the many opportunities that await us outside in the business world and it’s quite scary if you’ve been there and know what is expected of you in order to survive. You need and must obtain a strong character within yourself in order to prevent yourself from being sucked into a company’s order of doing things.

In essence I really just want this feeling of being carefree and carelessness to evaporate from my mind, body and soul and to become focused just until my finals are over.

Wish me luck until next time… chow bella! :)

Playing with Fire...

Playing with fire is a risky and dangerous phenomenon, yet there are people who do this as a hobby or part of their day job. Just like fire, its dangerous to play a game you know nothing about, like being pampered and treated by someone you barely know anything about.

It’s always imperative that one needs to be aware one’s surroundings, especially when it comes to meeting new circle of people, and wanting to engage and pursue something more than just friendship.

There are always signs put out for you to notice or ignore, be it as it may, not all of us always pick up on the signs, warning signs that stares you right in front of your face because you are blinded by love, wealth and a better lifestyle living as a whole.

I can relate to situations where I almost allowed myself to become blind-sided by wealthy people, men in particular. If you come into contact with these type of surroundings for the first time, it is always a good idea to be weary and on the alert especially when you do not know men’s intentions.

One might not reason rationally at first, because you are totally besotted and brain washed by all the material things these powerful and wealthy people have to offer. Once you are able to read them, most of them are just about business, strictly business… and more business. What might seem at first as glamorous living and satisfaction from both worlds, will become a bore and unsatisfactory experience?

The next thing you know, you become addicted to being spoilt and having money, when things start to turn sour, you know no other way of living. Therefore, you could decide to stay in it for the money, not the love, or rather be happy with being you and independent and aspire to being rich and wealthy as those that influence you.

We always think we are strong and believe that money won’t change the person you are, then you need to think again and not be deceived by money and wealth and what happens to vulnerable females who become too deeply sucked into this vicious cycle.

I hope I could inspire and advise accordingly… IF you have a similar view you’d like to express, please feel free to comment.

Until next time… chow bela :)

How to tap into your feminine side?

It’s amazing how when you start embracing your femininity, how people on the outside looking at you notice it as well. Many different aspects like your character, your surrounding and energy levels help determine the person you really are.

These past few weeks, I have just been accepting the person I am, with all my flaws, and allowed myself to be spaced out from my normal surroundings. This short-term away period has done me the worlds good. It has made me look at life from a different perspective in terms of my goal and aspirations for my future. I also managed to tap into my inner self, and bring only the glow out inside of me.

The minute I allowed myself to become a more positive and goal driven individual, possibilities and opportunities sprung out my way and I grabbed it immediately. People all around me said I was glowing, and began attracting positive people into my living sphere because subconsciously, I was positively driven; therefore positive people just came to me naturally.

If you feel good and beautiful inside, it will manifest on the outside. You automatically feel and want to live life all over again. It’s a priceless feeling, and I would wish it upon every individual.

Wherever you are today, I want you to look yourself in the mirror, put on your sexy outfit, and just embrace the feeling of feeling and being beautiful as a female. Start believing in yourself, if not immediately, in stages, but never discourage yourself... always positive thinking... and you will see...

I hope I could inspire someone today!

Topic 25: How hard is it to follow instructions?

I think instructions are necessary to adhere to when you have to make certain decisions in your life. Is it hard to follow?... well not if you know where you’d like to be after following instructions given to you in order to solve and issue, or a matter at hand.

An instruction only becomes hard to follow when you disagree to follow instructions. A good example would be allowing someone to get close to you... but to follow your instructions. Instructions can been noted as a way of teaching, allowing others to understand the way you operate and by wanting to be understood, one must adhere to instructions put forward.

In your work environment, there are constant instructions being laid out to you to follow. Certain criteria’s are expected of you as the employer, and it is expected of you to adhere to these instructions. Remember it is a mere teaching of how to do things according to someone else’s perception.

My opinion: I believe instructions are there to guide you up and until you are able to go about doing things. I do not believe all instructions should be adhered to accordingly, as I believe there always has to be room whereby you use your own discretion. One should always keep a free thought as to question an instruction if it does not really mesh with the way you do things. Instructions are put in place to be adhered to, but also need to be adjusted and updated on a monthly to annual business according to new technologies and improvements that become available and implemented.

To conclude, it shouldn't be difficult to follow instructions, but in the end we all interpret instructions in different ways because we are all different, therefore we all have different perceptions of intended outcomes.

Until next time... Chow Bela :)

Andy Warhol said, “In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen Minutes.” You can’t choose the 15 minutes but why would you be world famou

According to Andy Warhol everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes in their life. That is quite a broad statement because, being famous can stem from a social, political, economic and environmental view (to name but a few), a small concert in a suburb, or dancing the best amongst a crowd of people at a big party. In the end it’s what that get publicized or viewed about you is what makes you famous to others but not necessarily famous to you.

A good example would be YouTube. A social website rated no.2 famous search engine of videos in the world. It’s a social site whereby a modeling agency could spot you, and bam you are on your way to stardom. Good example would be Justin Bieber.

I think it’s every person’s dream to become world famous a renowned and be rewarded, but most importantly for the people to know who you are.

If I were to be famous for 15 minutes I would want to be a dance performer as I love to dance. It allows me to release my inner ambitions and that is to do what I like best... dance.

I do enjoy being creative as well, so by me winning the Loerie gold award for best advertising Company of the year would really thrill and excite me, hence give me my 15 minutes of Fame!

Actually I wouldn’t mind going on a date with Edward Westwick – Chuck Bass of Gossip Girl and experience my fame through the eyes of a celebrity... oooh it would dashing and smashing baby!

I wouldn’t ask for more time as this is when your personal life becomes invaded, and you are no more able living a free and normal life.

In conclusion being famous seems great and glamorous, but sometimes what you see is only from a media point of view. Be aware of your surroundings and what you put up on cyber space aka the internet, because you never know when you might just be famous... for fifteen minutes.

Until Next Time... chow bella :)

Falling into the wrong trap!

Have you ever felt like you not sure if you made the right decision in terms of choosing the right partner for yourself and you wonder what you going to do now? Thing is how do you know if you made the right decision? Was he the one for you? Or sometimes you are so infatuated by a man’s lifestyle and wealth that it completely blind sides you for what those men really are?

Let’s just say I’ve been in that boat when I came across a man, good looking and wealthy, drives the latest car and always has too much cash on him. He swept me off my feet by gracing me with his presence and future arrangements. This only strange thing about this whole equation was that he was so quick to meet me, date me, and eventually marry me.

Because my friend is in a very similar boat, it kind of gave me a wake-up call to never just rush into something, because you hardly know that guy and you always wonder what’s in it for him.

Life throws you curve balls all the time to teach you life lessons and those life lesson I’ve learned from my experience, was not to rush into something that you’ll regret in the long run. Yes, he was rich and probably would have showered me with gifts all the time, and that I know is any girls wish and dream, but in the end you have to face reality. I can't really see myself with someone that does not stimulate me emotionally, physically, mentally or most importantly intellectually.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy being pampered, but when it came to my ethical standards and morale, he lacked it, and didn't have respect me completely as a women which was a sign that he always expects things to go his way... and was definitely not what I wanted in a man. Sad but true.

Hope you could learn something out of my experience.

Until next time... chow bella! :)

A skill set called leadership!

This year I attended CPUT’s WTF (WHAT THE FUK) Media Conference where I was influenced and guided by leaders from various backgrounds and settings. It made me realise that we all acquire leadership skill it’s just a matter of tapping into our leadership abilities. I have watched and seen people evolve into big business men, and women and that they are high achievers in life.

It also made me realise that if you want to be success in life, you must be unique, different and bring something fresh to the plate. A speaker that blew me completely away was Jason Xenopolous, who is the founder of a new Digital Marketing Agency – Native. What I enjoyed most about his presentation was that he never spoke about his company and how he became successful. His presentation revolved mostly around story telling. Instead of delving into what his company had to offer or try and market his company, his main focus revolved around one of the greatest story tellers in the world and how they crept into their targets minds and emotions and what a great success they made out of these campaigns.

If I look at Jason, one would never say he is a leader of a company, but as soon as you begin speaking to him, you immediately note that he is very advanced and knowledgeable person with a bigger vision; a vision big enough to lead and inspire many individuals.

As a student, about to go into industry, Jason awoke a nerve in my brain, in that I know now what I would like to grow and excel in: conceptualise ideas for a digital, advertising agency, thereby devising and executing mind blowing campaigns through animation and special effects. I’ve always been able to think out of the box when it came to being creative, but what my expertise lacked was putting in all on paper. In a brief conversation with Jason, he explained that I would not need to waste money on doing graphic course as advertising agencies foresee that there are graphic designers to assist in bringing you idea and turning it into a reality of what you envision for a certain campaign.

In essence, I draw closure by encouraging everyone to be leaders and take that leap in discovering ones passion, and start leading yourself to where it is you’d want your life to be at in the next 5 years.

I’ve been inspired, hope you were too...

Until next time... chow bela! :)
