What is the colour of the wind?

The colour of the wind... well if I could describe wind in colours, I would say Cape Town's wind is Multicoloured. Sometimes blows lightly like the colour blue , sometimes fierce and angry, and passionate as the colour red, sometimes happy and warm like the colour yellow.

When the Cape doctor blows in, it's a red fierce and angry wind because it had to work overtime for the next couple of days to make sure it blows our pollution away.

In Summer you'd have the mild light blue breeze, that sneaks into your toes on a hot day and loves to tease the human being, literally begging for more cool blue breezes. Then you find can spot a purple wind almost anywhere, because it has mood swings. First it will blow hard so you actually see that 'ok, purple wind is in the area', followed by a disappearing act and when you least expect her to return, she comes from behind and blows that lovely summery dress up from under you...lol.

In winter you'll always find the queen of freezy light blue air. It's more than just cold, it's freezing allowing you to tenses up in your shoulders, and your toes literally doing a google search for heated socks than runs from batteries seeking. It feels like nose tries to competes for red nose day and your face just entered for the 'Face of Iceland'.

We can't wait for spring to bring us happy yellow wind, that gives your a literature review of what to look forward to in summer.

Today, feels like breezy blue is in the area. If you know of any more, let me know.

  1. This blog has a very poetic tone and is quite abstract. You are very inspired as usual Michelle i'm wondering where you get these ideas from. Anyway, good way of putting your thoughts, it gives me the feeling of countryside with its greenery and its tranquility.

  3. This is very interesting way of describing the wind. I never though of the wind being all colourful, you make it sound as if it’s something interesting.
