Playing with Fire...

Playing with fire is a risky and dangerous phenomenon, yet there are people who do this as a hobby or part of their day job. Just like fire, its dangerous to play a game you know nothing about, like being pampered and treated by someone you barely know anything about.

It’s always imperative that one needs to be aware one’s surroundings, especially when it comes to meeting new circle of people, and wanting to engage and pursue something more than just friendship.

There are always signs put out for you to notice or ignore, be it as it may, not all of us always pick up on the signs, warning signs that stares you right in front of your face because you are blinded by love, wealth and a better lifestyle living as a whole.

I can relate to situations where I almost allowed myself to become blind-sided by wealthy people, men in particular. If you come into contact with these type of surroundings for the first time, it is always a good idea to be weary and on the alert especially when you do not know men’s intentions.

One might not reason rationally at first, because you are totally besotted and brain washed by all the material things these powerful and wealthy people have to offer. Once you are able to read them, most of them are just about business, strictly business… and more business. What might seem at first as glamorous living and satisfaction from both worlds, will become a bore and unsatisfactory experience?

The next thing you know, you become addicted to being spoilt and having money, when things start to turn sour, you know no other way of living. Therefore, you could decide to stay in it for the money, not the love, or rather be happy with being you and independent and aspire to being rich and wealthy as those that influence you.

We always think we are strong and believe that money won’t change the person you are, then you need to think again and not be deceived by money and wealth and what happens to vulnerable females who become too deeply sucked into this vicious cycle.

I hope I could inspire and advise accordingly… IF you have a similar view you’d like to express, please feel free to comment.

Until next time… chow bela :)

How to tap into your feminine side?

It’s amazing how when you start embracing your femininity, how people on the outside looking at you notice it as well. Many different aspects like your character, your surrounding and energy levels help determine the person you really are.

These past few weeks, I have just been accepting the person I am, with all my flaws, and allowed myself to be spaced out from my normal surroundings. This short-term away period has done me the worlds good. It has made me look at life from a different perspective in terms of my goal and aspirations for my future. I also managed to tap into my inner self, and bring only the glow out inside of me.

The minute I allowed myself to become a more positive and goal driven individual, possibilities and opportunities sprung out my way and I grabbed it immediately. People all around me said I was glowing, and began attracting positive people into my living sphere because subconsciously, I was positively driven; therefore positive people just came to me naturally.

If you feel good and beautiful inside, it will manifest on the outside. You automatically feel and want to live life all over again. It’s a priceless feeling, and I would wish it upon every individual.

Wherever you are today, I want you to look yourself in the mirror, put on your sexy outfit, and just embrace the feeling of feeling and being beautiful as a female. Start believing in yourself, if not immediately, in stages, but never discourage yourself... always positive thinking... and you will see...

I hope I could inspire someone today!

Topic 25: How hard is it to follow instructions?

I think instructions are necessary to adhere to when you have to make certain decisions in your life. Is it hard to follow?... well not if you know where you’d like to be after following instructions given to you in order to solve and issue, or a matter at hand.

An instruction only becomes hard to follow when you disagree to follow instructions. A good example would be allowing someone to get close to you... but to follow your instructions. Instructions can been noted as a way of teaching, allowing others to understand the way you operate and by wanting to be understood, one must adhere to instructions put forward.

In your work environment, there are constant instructions being laid out to you to follow. Certain criteria’s are expected of you as the employer, and it is expected of you to adhere to these instructions. Remember it is a mere teaching of how to do things according to someone else’s perception.

My opinion: I believe instructions are there to guide you up and until you are able to go about doing things. I do not believe all instructions should be adhered to accordingly, as I believe there always has to be room whereby you use your own discretion. One should always keep a free thought as to question an instruction if it does not really mesh with the way you do things. Instructions are put in place to be adhered to, but also need to be adjusted and updated on a monthly to annual business according to new technologies and improvements that become available and implemented.

To conclude, it shouldn't be difficult to follow instructions, but in the end we all interpret instructions in different ways because we are all different, therefore we all have different perceptions of intended outcomes.

Andy Warhol said, “In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen Minutes.” You can’t choose the 15 minutes but why would you be world famou

According to Andy Warhol everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes in their life. That is quite a broad statement because, being famous can stem from a social, political, economic and environmental view (to name but a few), a small concert in a suburb, or dancing the best amongst a crowd of people at a big party. In the end it’s what that get publicized or viewed about you is what makes you famous to others but not necessarily famous to you.

A good example would be YouTube. A social website rated no.2 famous search engine of videos in the world. It’s a social site whereby a modeling agency could spot you, and bam you are on your way to stardom. Good example would be Justin Bieber.

I think it’s every person’s dream to become world famous a renowned and be rewarded, but most importantly for the people to know who you are.

If I were to be famous for 15 minutes I would want to be a dance performer as I love to dance. It allows me to release my inner ambitions and that is to do what I like best... dance.

I do enjoy being creative as well, so by me winning the Loerie gold award for best advertising Company of the year would really thrill and excite me, hence give me my 15 minutes of Fame!

Actually I wouldn’t mind going on a date with Edward Westwick – Chuck Bass of Gossip Girl and experience my fame through the eyes of a celebrity... oooh it would dashing and smashing baby!

I wouldn’t ask for more time as this is when your personal life becomes invaded, and you are no more able living a free and normal life.

In conclusion being famous seems great and glamorous, but sometimes what you see is only from a media point of view. Be aware of your surroundings and what you put up on cyber space aka the internet, because you never know when you might just be famous... for fifteen minutes.

Until Next Time... chow bella :)

Falling into the wrong trap!

Have you ever felt like you not sure if you made the right decision in terms of choosing the right partner for yourself and you wonder what you going to do now? Thing is how do you know if you made the right decision? Was he the one for you? Or sometimes you are so infatuated by a man’s lifestyle and wealth that it completely blind sides you for what those men really are?

Let’s just say I’ve been in that boat when I came across a man, good looking and wealthy, drives the latest car and always has too much cash on him. He swept me off my feet by gracing me with his presence and future arrangements. This only strange thing about this whole equation was that he was so quick to meet me, date me, and eventually marry me.

Because my friend is in a very similar boat, it kind of gave me a wake-up call to never just rush into something, because you hardly know that guy and you always wonder what’s in it for him.

Life throws you curve balls all the time to teach you life lessons and those life lesson I’ve learned from my experience, was not to rush into something that you’ll regret in the long run. Yes, he was rich and probably would have showered me with gifts all the time, and that I know is any girls wish and dream, but in the end you have to face reality. I can't really see myself with someone that does not stimulate me emotionally, physically, mentally or most importantly intellectually.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy being pampered, but when it came to my ethical standards and morale, he lacked it, and didn't have respect me completely as a women which was a sign that he always expects things to go his way... and was definitely not what I wanted in a man. Sad but true.

Hope you could learn something out of my experience.

Until next time... chow bella! :)

A skill set called leadership!

This year I attended CPUT’s WTF (WHAT THE FUK) Media Conference where I was influenced and guided by leaders from various backgrounds and settings. It made me realise that we all acquire leadership skill it’s just a matter of tapping into our leadership abilities. I have watched and seen people evolve into big business men, and women and that they are high achievers in life.

It also made me realise that if you want to be success in life, you must be unique, different and bring something fresh to the plate. A speaker that blew me completely away was Jason Xenopolous, who is the founder of a new Digital Marketing Agency – Native. What I enjoyed most about his presentation was that he never spoke about his company and how he became successful. His presentation revolved mostly around story telling. Instead of delving into what his company had to offer or try and market his company, his main focus revolved around one of the greatest story tellers in the world and how they crept into their targets minds and emotions and what a great success they made out of these campaigns.

If I look at Jason, one would never say he is a leader of a company, but as soon as you begin speaking to him, you immediately note that he is very advanced and knowledgeable person with a bigger vision; a vision big enough to lead and inspire many individuals.

As a student, about to go into industry, Jason awoke a nerve in my brain, in that I know now what I would like to grow and excel in: conceptualise ideas for a digital, advertising agency, thereby devising and executing mind blowing campaigns through animation and special effects. I’ve always been able to think out of the box when it came to being creative, but what my expertise lacked was putting in all on paper. In a brief conversation with Jason, he explained that I would not need to waste money on doing graphic course as advertising agencies foresee that there are graphic designers to assist in bringing you idea and turning it into a reality of what you envision for a certain campaign.

In essence, I draw closure by encouraging everyone to be leaders and take that leap in discovering ones passion, and start leading yourself to where it is you’d want your life to be at in the next 5 years.

I’ve been inspired, hope you were too...

Until next time... chow bela! :)
